

The reason for two separate scripts is to help keep AHK from ignoring itself. If you use one script for the hotkey, and the other implementing a standard message listener you can see it pick up on distinctly separate Shift and k key presses. This is how most programs do it anyways for the most part only games use keyboard hooks and/or global hotkeys (like what AHK generally uses). Ī more reliable method of testing would be to set up a message hook to process key press messages sent to a window.
